The School of Information and Library Science (SILS) at UNC-CH is seeking doctoral student applicants interested in Middle Eastern Studies and librarianship. These Fellowships are funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The two‐year Fellowships offers:

  • A 20 hour a week position as a Research Fellow
  • An annual stipend of $20,000
  • In‐state tuition and health coverage
  • Opportunities to work on developing programs and offering classes with Middle Eastern partner institutions.
  • PhD students will travel to at least one of the Middle Eastern partner institutions where they will have the opportunity to work with students and provide instruction.
