Students, faculty and locals heard from Arif Alikhan, the former assistant secretary for policy development at the Department of Homeland Security. This talk was in conjunction with a series of events “Reflecting on the Tenth Anniversary of September 11, 2001” that took place at UNC, Duke University and North Carolina State University.
Following Alikhan’s lecture was a panel discussion involving representatives from Duke, UNC and the Islamic Association of Raleigh.
