Dear CMEIS Students, Faculty, Staff, and Community,
The Center for Middle East and Islamic Studies strongly condemns the intrusion and assault that occurred at the Muslim Student Association meeting yesterday. Such acts of violence and intimidation have no place on our campus or in any community. We stand in solidarity with the MSA and all those affected, and we reaffirm our commitment to fostering an environment of safety, respect, and inclusivity for all students. It is essential that we continue to work together to address hate and violence in all its forms. Our thoughts are with those impacted, and we will do everything in our power to support them during this difficult time.
In the coming days, the center will provide more resources and opportunities to support affected students. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us for any help we can provide.
