The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, in collaboration with the area studies centers at UNC and Duke, has successfully hosted a transformative professional development event focused on global education!
This year’s theme, “Engage, Educate, Empower: Elevating K-12 Learning through Global Perspectives,” brought together expert speakers to discuss the importance of globalizing the curriculum. They explored captivating topics and case studies from Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
The goal of this event is to equip K-12 educators with innovative teaching materials and strategies that align with North Carolina standards and can be adapted across various subjects.
