The Yale University Department of History intends to make a tenure-track assistant professor appointment, to begin July 1, 2012, focusing on the history of the Middle East in the 20th century. The successful candidate must possess demonstrable skills in one or more of the major languages of the region. Applications are invited from historians with strong potential for achievement in scholarship, undergraduate and graduate teaching, and intellectual leadership.
