Warren Wilson College is seeking applicants for a continuing, entry level faculty position in the departments of Religious Studies and Global Studies focusing on Islam and the contemporary Islamic world.

The successful applicant should be able to teach a variety of courses, including the introductory course in comparative religions, the capstone course in the interdisciplinary Global Studies major, and other courses focusing on Islam and the Islamic world. We welcome candidates who are willing to develop short term international field study courses, can teach courses that relate to the themes of Global Studies (i.e. Religion and Globalization, Islam in Global Context), and complement our strong program in Peace and Social Justice Studies.

This is a full-time, continuing, junior level position in an extended contract system with a 3-3 load. Successful candidates will have significant and relevant publications, evidence of excellence in and commitment to teaching, and the expectation of continued scholarly work.
