The Department of History at the University of West Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the history of the Middle East or Islamic World, open field, for fall 2017. Responsibilities include teaching a world history survey, a survey of the Middle East or the Islamic World, as well as advanced undergraduate courses and graduate seminars in the candidate’s area of specialization. Candidates who can teach a broad range of undergraduate courses and contribute to the department’s vibrant M.A. program are especially encouraged to apply. Ph.D. required at time of appointment.
