The Program in Arabic Language and Culture in the Department of Classics at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a tenure-track position. The field of specialization is open, although we welcome especially applications from scholars of either modern Arabic literature and culture or Islamic Studies (classical and modern). The appointment will commence in July 2016. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in Arabic language as well as a broad range of undergraduate courses in the literature, culture, and history of the Arabic speaking world. Completion of the Ph.D. is required.
