Social Sciences University of Ankara (SSUA) invites applications for full-time assistant professor positions.

About the institution

SSUA is a public university which is established in 2013. At the university, social sciences, as its name recalls, are taught, discussed and researched in international contexts through many research projects and discussion platforms as well as in classrooms.

SSUA is a research-oriented institution which is dedicated to post-graduate studies in social sciences.

SSUA offers appropriate working environments for international researchers and students. Besides, it encourages its academic staff and students to carry out national-international scientific projects.

SSUA provides to its staff a working environment equipped with the latest technology and owning smart systems with electronic signature. It has also learning and research environment equipped with advanced educational technology and a rich high-tech library open 24/7 in addition to furthering its activities in historical, cultural and aesthetic buildings in the old town of Ankara, Ulus.

About the positions

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree from an accredited university, or be near completion by appointment. Major responsibilities include high quality research, effective teaching, making significant contributions to the discipline, and supervising postgraduate students.

As the medium of instruction is English, SSUA welcomes applicants from all nationalities at its multicultural environment.

Preference will be given to those

  • with research orientations which can contribute to the Institution’s development of its key areas of research; religious studies, law, political sciences, social sciences and humanities, and foreign languages.
  • have a leading role in the development of social science studies in Turkey.
  • following up to date track of social sciences literature in English.
