Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, invites applications for a full-timelecturer in Middle Eastern Studies beginning in the fall of 2013. The period and field of specialization are open. The successful candidate will be expected to teach three courses per semester: an introduction to the study of the Middle East focusing on methods and theories, a course on the candidate’s specialization, and a senior seminar also determined by the candidate’s specialization. The initial appointment will be for one academic year, with the possibility of renewal for additional yearly or multi-year contracts. Candidates must have the Ph.D. by the time of appointment.
