The Department of History at Reed College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of History and Humanities, with a specialization in modern or early modern African, Middle Eastern, Latin American, or South Asian history. In addition to teaching one course each semester in one’s own area, the appointee will teach one year-long discussion section in Reed’s writing-intensive, introductory Humanities course (https://www.reed.edu/humanities/hum110/index.html). Teaching duties also include advising year-long senior theses.
