The Department of History at Ohio University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Middle Eastern history. The department, which offers B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees, welcomes candidates with any thematic, geographical, and chronological specializations in the field.
The successful candidate will be expected to offer both broad and specialized courses in Middle Eastern history at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as world history surveys. The teaching load is 2-2. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment (August 2014), a strong research agenda, and teaching experience.
