Position Summary:  One-year, Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning Fall, 2013. Five undergraduate courses, minimum administrative responsibilities. Candidate should be able to teach Introduction to Islam, Women and Gender in Islam, Islam in North America, and two other courses in Islam and/or related thematic topics in the Study of Religion. PhD preferred.

Qualifications: Evidence of serious commitment and teaching excellence on the undergraduate level is vitally important.

College/Dept. Description: Mount Holyoke College is an undergraduate liberal arts college for women with 2,100 students and 210 faculty. Half the faculty are women; one fourth are persons of color.
