Leiden University invites applications for a associate professorship in International Political Economy, with specialist expertise of Asia or the Middle East, including proficiency in one or more Asian or Middle Eastern languages. We welcome applications by scholars whose work reflects sensitivity to historical and socio-cultural context in the study of (shifting) global configurations of IPE in the modern world, and the ability to engage productively with other fields in a humanities and area studies environment. Appointment will be fixed-term from August 2015 through July 2018, with the possibility of extensions of up to three years, and of promotion to full professor and tenure thereafter. Candidates from outside the Netherlands may be eligible for a substantial tax break. Applications deadline: 2 March 2015.
