The Department of Economics and Political Science at Keene State College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Political Science, beginning August 2015. We seek candidates who can demonstrate that they have broad training in the fields of International Relations and Comparative Politics, and interest and training sufficient to develop and offer additional courses that will complement existing introductory and upper-level courses in related subfields.   The successful candidate will complement the teaching, research, and service interests of the current political science faculty and will join a department of three that values strong teaching, working with students to become engaged citizens, general educational service to the department and the campus community, and collegial relations.  We are committed to introductory instruction in core areas of the discipline and instruction in subfields that will develop the intellectual and professional capabilities of our students. The teaching load is three courses per semester; and the political science major is growing rapidly. Faculty members in the department regularly contribute to the Integrative Studies Program (our general education) and are active advisors for undergraduate majors and minors.  We strongly encourage individuals to apply who will support the Colleges ongoing efforts to provide opportunities that help students become responsible global citizens.

Ph.D. in Political Science or International Relations conferred by August 1, 2015; successful completion of comprehensive/preliminary exams in International Relations and in Comparative Politics (or their equivalents);
