The Political Science and International Relations Department at Ibn Haldun University invites applications for 3 full-time faculty positions. The ranks are open and the appointment will begin on September 1, 2018. Candidates are expected to be specialist in the specified subfields:

  • Comparative Politics with specific focus on quantitative research methods
  • Peace and Conflict Studies
  • International Security/ Security Studies
  • International Political Economy/ Comparative Political Economy

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. at the time of appointment from an accredited institution, have strong training in Political Science or International Relations with specific focus on the subfields that are mentioned above. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching, the ability to maintain dynamic scholarly productivity, and a willingness to be active in service to the university.

Responsibilities: Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses.  Active research and publication agenda and willingness to engage in collaborative research with departmental colleagues and graduate students.

Ibn Haldun University (IHU), founded by TURGEV in Istanbul is an endowment university with the vision to stand out as a “research” university in social sciences.
