The Outreach Center at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES) at Harvard University is seeking applications for an Outreach Director. Reporting to the Executive Director and working with the Faculty Director, the Outreach Program Director is responsible for coordinating the Center for Middle Eastern Studies’ outreach programs, managing the Department of Education’s Title VI grant for the National Resource Center, and will work closely with the Director and Executive Director on the development of new programs and activities. Serves on internal and external committees as required. Supervises part-time curriculum assistant, student workers, interns and volunteers.

The Outreach Program Director is primarily responsible for developing annual plans to disseminate knowledge about the Middle East to K-12 teachers in the New England Region. The different constituencies targeted by the Outreach Program will have different needs, and the Outreach Program Director will be responsible for crafting an appropriate strategy for each.
