Georgetown University is seeking an individual of significant accomplishment, recognized stature and compelling public presence to serve as dean of Georgetown University in Qatar. Witt/Kieffer has been asked by the university to support this search and invites confidential inquiries, nominations and expressions of interest for this important search.
In 2005, Georgetown University established a branch campus in Doha, Qatar, at the invitation of the Qatari government and with its financial sponsorship from the Qatar Foundation. The dean of Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) has an extraordinary opportunity to support a compelling educational mission as part of a world-class research university while also having the ability to shape a campus that is still being invented. The role of the dean of GU-Q is unusually broad and more complex than most deanships. The dean of GU-Q is responsible for all aspects of GU-Q including intellectual and academic as well as administrative leadership. 
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a faculty member with an outstanding record of research and teaching, and/or experience in international affairs, with stature and recognition as a leader in the global arena. The dean will also have the experience and skills to represent Georgetown University in Qatar and the Gulf region.
