Film Screening: “The Mother of Two Springs: Mosul” and discussion with film producer Noor Ghazi

April 18, 2022 | 5:15 pm - 6:45 pm

In June of 2014, Mosul, the second largest city in Iraq, fell under the atrocity of ISIS. Under a constricted social life, people suffered on many different levels. Noor Ghazi, a Professor of the Practice under the Curriculum in Peace, War, and Defense at UNC-Chapel Hill, travelled to Mosul after its liberation in 2018 to document the atrocity under ISIS. In this documentary, you will hear from people who lived, experienced and suffered under ISIS in Mosul.

A discussion with Noor Ghazi will follow the screening.
