All are welcome to join a conversation with Egyptian artist Sherine Hegazi in the advanced Arabic class “Performing Arts in the Arab world”. Sherine Hegazi left an engineering career to train at the Cairo Contemporary Dance Workshop Program, then formed an all-women’s dance group. She will discuss her initiative to empower women in a conservative art scene and how dance can inspire conversations about feminism and equality.
