Duaa Ghazi is an Iraqi American woman who immigrated to America as a refugee in 2008. She is the co-founder of Embrace Women with the goal to empower immigrant women, especially those who may be abused or in a bad situation. Empower Women is also working on bringing the feminist movement to Iraq to help empower and educate Iraqi women. She has a degree in early childhood education. She wrote a book, Unbelievable, about her life and struggles as an immigrant woman. She is an activist and is passionate about empowering immigrant women.
