Carolina Seminar: “Leaving Iraq” with Nabil al-Takriti (University of Mary Washington)

UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty, and staff are invited to join us for the Carolina Seminar on Middle East Studies, organized by Dr. Sarah Shields in conjunction with her course, “HIST 276: The Modern Middle East”. Each lecture features a guest expert on contemporary events.

 

Nabil al-Takriti is Associate Professor of History at the University of Mary Washington. With scholarly interests that include Ottoman History, the modern Middle East, and Humanitarian Affairs, Prof. Al-Tikriti is primarily responsible for the department’s offerings in Middle East History.
