Brooklyn College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Islamic Studies, beginning Fall Semester 2014. Applicants must be prepared to teach a wide range of courses on Islamic religion, history, and thought from the classical period to the present day. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in the College’s interdisciplinary program in Religious Studies. Commitment to research. Usual committee responsibilities. Ph.D. required. Evidence of scholarly excellence and outstanding teaching. The position is open to candidates in any area of specialization within Islamic Studies.
$61,903- $74,133; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
