The Center for Palestine Studies is pleased to announce that the competition for the 2022-2023 Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Postdoctoral Award is now open! This year-long post-doctoral fellowship recognizes and fosters innovative and ground-breaking scholarship on issues related to Palestine and Palestinians.


The international competition is open to post-doctoral scholars who share the mission of the Center for Palestine Studies to advance the production and circulation of knowledge on Palestinian history, culture, society, and politics through outstanding scholarship. The IAL Award carries a stipend of $52,000 for the academic year. The fellow must have a PhD in hand by June 2022.


Only complete applications will receive full consideration.

Applications and supporting materials are due on 15 February 2022.
