College of Charleston, the School of Languages, Cultures and World Affairs (LCWA), invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in International Studies to begin fall 2012. The International Studies program seeks a candidate with research interests in Middle East or African studies who will contribute to inter- and multi-disciplinary teaching and research. Applicants should demonstrate excellent teaching and promising research scholarship. The successful candidate must be able to teach our International Studies introductory course as well as the major’s Capstone course and contribute to an area studies concentration. Candidates with a PhD in International Studies or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. An earned PhD before August 2012 is required.
