Centre College seeks to fill a full-time tenure-track position in International Studies at the level of Assistant Professor beginning August of 2017.  Ph.D. required at time of appointment.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in International Relations and Comparative Politics, preferably with regional focus in South/Southeast Asia.  Expertise in other regions will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include Introduction to Comparative Politics, Introduction to International Relations, International Organizations, and a regional politics course. We expect that a candidate can also develop new upper-level courses in his/her area of expertise in the fields of IR and/or Comparative Politics. Prior teaching experience and the ability to teach an introductory methodology course are preferable, but not required.   The program strongly encourages applications from candidates who have experience teaching and mentoring a diverse student body with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
