The Department of Political Studies and Public Administration (PSPA) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) has recently revised its undergraduate and graduate curricula, and is seeking to recruit, develop, and retain faculty that will contribute to the long-term success of our academic programs. The Department therefore invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the fields of public administration and public management to begin September 15, 2012.

Qualified candidates must possess a PhD in public administration, public management, or a closely related field at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration and management. Ability to teach courses on topics such as non-profit management, program implementation, program evaluation, and qualitative methods is desirable. While the specific area of research specialization is open, preference will be given to candidates focused on topics relevant to issues of public administration and public management within the Middle East region. As AUB is a culturally diverse institution, candidates must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be prepared to contribute to the mentoring of MA thesis projects.
