Urdu Majlis: The Life and Works of Akhlaq Mohammad Khan ‘Shahryar’ (1936-2012)

Please join us on Saturday November 18, 2017 for the next monthly meeting of Urdu Majlis, the Triangle’s Literary Forum. This Urdu Majlis will concentrate on the life and works of Akhlaq Mohammad Khan ‘Shahryar’ (1936-2012) the famous poet who penned the ghazals in the 1981 film “Umrao Jaan”. Khan was an Indian academician, and a leader of Urdu poetry in India. Participants are invited to bring refreshments to share.
