Poetry Festival: Mushaira (Urdu-Hindi Poetry Symposium)

March 16, 2018 | 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

 

This festival features some of the leading poets of India and Pakistan, and proceeds benefit education for orphans in Pakistan. Dr. Altaf Husain, Executive Assistant for Academic Affairs in the Office of the Provost at Howard University will provide remarks. Mushaira Program poets include: Waseem Barelvi, Iqbal Ashar, Nausha Asrar. Proceeds go to Helping Hand for Relief and Development (www.hhrd.org).
