In collaboration with the Ackland Museum, and with funding from ART/Islam, the Carolina Center for the Study of the Middle East and Muslim Civilizations and the Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies presents Cinema of the Global Middle East, a series of six films to be screened at the Varsity Theater during the academic year.  Films include documentaries and dramas, and feature life in the region and in Middle Eastern communities around the world.  All the films in the series will be free and open to the public.  Fall semester film schedule is available here.
